Systems Engineer
Onsite in Brea, CA
12+ month initial contract
Hourly Rate: $45-50/hr

Orion Group is seeking for a Systems Engineer for Medical Device manufacturing client in Brea, CA.

The Systems Engineer creates and analyzes systems concepts independently including throughput analysis, system capabilities and work breakdown structures.

This is an onsite engineering position with no networking or server responsibilities and only a peripheral interaction with software. Ideal candidates should have experience performing root cause failure analysis of complex systems with a strong preference for medical, diagnostic equipment.


Responsibilities:
* The incumbent assesses customer ergonomics and develops customer specifications from
* market requirements
* Derives, manages and interprets systems requirements
* leads or participates in component, subsystem and system concept design synthesis by advocating the needs created by system interdependencies, interfaces, and interactions
* leads the development of critical multi-discipline systems technologies and feasibility efforts
* leads system critical characterization
* creates and implements verification and validation plans for subsystem and system design
* executes integration and troubleshooting
* creates technical documents including project justifications
* leads special teams to solve critical issues


Requirements:
* Bachelor's Degree in an engineering discipline.
* 2-5 years of experience in Systems Engineering for manufacturing companies
* Experience working in a regulated industry (FDA, ISO)
* Candidate should have experience performing root cause failure analysis of complex systems with a strong preference for medical, diagnostic equipment.
