OrionGroup are looking for a Supply Planning Analyst for their multinational medical devices client based in the West Yorkshire area on an initial 12 month contract.


Main Responsibilities of the role
As a Supply Planning Analyst you will be working under the direction of the External Operations Team Leader to assist in process optimization activities.

The successful candidate will be directly involved in continuous improvement projects via data mining and analytics. This position requires a person who is enthusiastic, willing to learn, and tenacious, as well as professional and articulate. In this position you will:

  • Assist Supply Chain Planners in day-to-day projects and responsibilities. Maintaining required data records such as purchase orders, scheduling agreements, source lists and supplier correspondences.
  • Coordinate data integrity activities via data gathering, data analysis, and preparation of standard work documentation.
  • Assist in developing and recommending policy and procedure changes.
  • Create process maps, flowcharts, and/or job aids for both existing and proposed processes.
  • Provide administration, maintenance and development support.
  • Other duties, reporting, special assignments or projects as needed and assigned.

Desired Experience and background of the successful candidate

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, or related field is preferred.
  • Experience of ERP systems (JD Edwards, SAP, APO) would be beneficial although not essential.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) is required.
  • Able to demonstrate strong analytical and quantitative skills, excellent communication, presentation skills and leadership qualities are required.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives while maintaining a strong sense of urgency.
