OrionGroup are looking for a Supply Chain Systems Lead with our multinational lifescience client based in the Surrey area on an initial 12-month contract.

Job Purpose

Supply Chain Systems Lead is responsible for the overall governance, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of key EDI and projects, enhancements and initiatives in supply chain (SAP OTC - Order to Cash) area while ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals. The focus of this role is to manage all allocated projects, providing strong Project Management and excellent customer service to meet the needs of all stakeholders (both internal and external). You will be responsible for developing and driving standard EDI offering to achieve efficient customer on-boarding complete with opportunity and ROI (Return on Investment) analyses

Main Responsibilities

  • Support Supply Chain Team across EMA and bridge the gap between the business and IT.
  • Effectively engage with Distribution team, Customer Service, IT Team, Finance team and all areas pertaining to Order to Cash process towards ensuring overall goals achieved.
  • Support/manage execution of key business activities, projects in supply chain area with focus on the SAP ERP platform.
  • Manage intake and evaluation of EDI projects business cases complete with analyses of costs and benefits.
  • Lead opportunity analyses to drive EDI strategy and maximise ROI
  • Further development and standardisation of the EDI offering to achieve efficient customer onboarding.
  • Facilitate the decision-making process (prioritisation) with key stakeholders.
  • Perform the role of a project manager of all EMA EDI requests per agreed priority while managing both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work with both internal and external stakeholders to define scope, goals and deliverables and develop comprehensive project plans.
  • Implementation and use of appropriate controls to manage change in project scope, schedule and costs, escalating issues to the relevant stakeholders where necessary
  • Managing and leading the Project Team by communicating effectively, providing clear briefs and plans, identifying key priorities, providing relevant feedback and resolving challenges.
  • Monitoring project progress, profitability and performance in line with the project plan. Ensuring each one is completed on time, within budget and to EDI standards
  • Constant monitoring and reporting on the EDI Roadmap and individual progress and status of the projects to all stakeholders.
  • Presenting project evaluations, assessment of results and other agreed ROI
  • Ensure processes adhere to company policies and external compliance requirements i.e. IT Change control, SOX, BSI etc.

Knowledge / Experience / Skills required

  • Project management experience - Preferably in supply chain EDI projects
  • Recognized PM Certification: FPX, AGILE, PMI, IPMA, PRINCE2 or other
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of Supply Chain and Sales applications and principles
  • Experience of SAP Sales and Distribution module or similar ERP systems
  • Good understanding of EDI technology, standards and protocols
  • Experience of working effectively within a fast paced, complex, changing environment
