Job description
Orion Group Life Sciences are looking for a Supply Chain Manager for our Multinational Pharmaceutical/Biotechnology client based in Breda. Initial 12-month contract, with high possibility of extension. This is a hybrid position.
What will you do
As a Product Planner, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless supply of our life-changing products to patients in 75 countries globally. You will manage supply plans for your products and production lines across, ensuring reliable and stable supply while navigating product launches, phase-outs, business trends, production capacity utilization, and component management.
Your expertise will help control costs and cash impact while minimizing scrap exposure and maintaining target inventory levels.
Main Responsibilities
- Be responsible for the planning activities of tactical and strategic horizon.
- Be responsible and ownership of products and line for the mis -and long term planning in Rapid Response.
- Communicate effectively with critical resource owners.
- Participate in weekly and monthly meetings e.g. IDP sto's/ PLT's/ GSCT's/ During these meetings , tactical and strategic metrics and approaches will be discussed.
- Collaborate with Global teams; GNP, GSCL's and give your feedback and advice on strategic decisions.
- Bring opportunities and risks to the table, with regards to variation management, scrap global initiatives and different strategies.
- Refers and follows established policies and procedures associates with the role.
- Proactively assess and manage inventory positions, aligning them with strategic targets.
- Drive towards a stable, efficient Supply Plan and address any deviations or constraints with root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Ensure timely completion of planning cycles and provide scenario analyses to support decision-making.
- Collaborate with supply sites to ensure the seamless flow of supply.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or Engineering.
- Proven experience in end-to-end Supply Chain Planning and Operations, preferably in a regulated environment such as pharmaceuticals, medtech, food/beverages, or ingredients.
- Knowledge in SAP and RR is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate and build strong connections.
- Previous experience with Continuous Improvement methodologies and tools (like Lean and Six Sigma).
- Pro-active attitude.
- Can-do mentality and mindset, taking things to the finish line with you as a leader
- E2E supply chain mindset.
- High entrepreneurship, ownership.
