Orion Group Life Sciences have an exciting opportunity for a Supplier Quality Engineer for our client based in Cork. This is a permanent role.

This role would ideally suit somebody looking to step into a senior position.

Main Responsibilities of the role

  • Proven competence in the management of suppliers which will impact of the quality of product brought to suppliers
  • Cross functional team collaboration for quality system design & audit compliance etc. to support the plant manufacturing process
  • Some experience in supplier change control process and able to and the ability to act quickly to such changes in the supplier quality process
  • Supplier Process Validation knowledge & approval in line with all regulatory requirements
  • Your overall industry & process excellence knowledge should impact on daily quality operations, including (GMP) & all plant wide ISO standards
  • Willingness to advise on Continuous Improvement & Process Excellence activities within the wider Supply Chain area.

Desired Experience and Background of the successful candidate

  • Degree is required, preferably in an Engineering, Life Science, or related discipline
  • 3 years of experience in a regulated industry is required within supplier quality
  • Experience in the Medical Device industry and/or Pharmaceutical industry is required
  • FDA / ISO regulations knowledge is required, with FDA CFR Part 820 and ISO 13485 knowledge required
  • Six Sigma, Lean, or Lead auditor Certification and trainings an asset
  • This position may require some EU based travel from time to time.
