Job description

Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Subsea Controls Engineer, based in Aberdeen.

Responsibilities:
* Attend all planning meetings and provide input to the Subsea weekly report
* Identify long lead control items and assist team in their procurement, testing and delivery.
* Coordinate & witness the refurbishment, repair and testing of test equipment & production spares required to support the project.
* Assist in the preparation and submission of PWA amendments, including review & modifications to Table As and preparation of layout drawings
* Produce GAP analysis of existing PI tags for each well and agreed NEW PI tags where required for additional valves and sensors
* Make recommendation as to whether existing PI tags will be reused or modified to new common standard.
* Ensure that new and modified PI tags are implemented such that PI data is not interrupted post
* Identify all existing P&ID's and supersede previous versions before LWI ensure any outstanding RLM drafts are completed
* Produce project sketch P&ID's for approval such that they can be back drafted at the end of the project. Drawings to reuse existing number set and not NEW numbering system
* Produce project as-built Field Layout at end of project.
* Initiate, coordinate & witness /approve the SPCU software modifications required for all contingency scenarios
* Define the topsides control system isolations required for each phase of the project to minimize unnecessary production outages.
* Agree ICC's with offshore and produce an Isolation Summary report for approval
* Create draft Permits for each phase of the project
* Attend and actively contribute to all HAZIDs & HIRA's
* Produce installation & commissioning procedures for all contingency scenarios

Experience & Qualifications:
* Engineering or Science Degree
* Multi-discipline knowledge of wells and well architecture, production trees and their operating and the production process; subsea control systems, pipelines, electrical, electronic and digital communication systems and hydraulics and mechanical engineering principles. Knowledgeable of subsea intervention techniques, their limitations and associated safe systems of work.
* Significant experience within Oil and Gas Subsea Engineering and Production
