Job Title: Structural Engineer (Nuclear New Build)

Location: Bristol

The Role: This role is working within the Nuclear team for an international engineering consultancy this role will play an important role in the development of the new nuclear build, Hinckley Point C. My client are looking for talented Structural Engineers of all levels from Junior Engineer to Chief Engineer to join their team.

Experience: To be successful you ideally need experience of:

  • Working in a multidisciplinary, or complex single discipline, design team.
  • Design of nuclear structures and/or infrastructure.
  • Working in the design of concrete, steel and masonry structures using recognised codes, standards and specifications.
  • Working knowledge of concept and detailed design phases.
  • Design and analysis of structures under dynamic loading such as seismic, impact is beneficial.
  • Working with on-site contractors.
  • Experienced with engineering software packages

Also for the more senor candidate experience the client are looking for experience in:

  • Leading a multidisciplinary, or complex single discipline, design team.
  • Successful management of project budgets, contracts and commercial arrangements.
  • Preparation of bids and winning work.
  • Working with contractors on site to deliver the implementation of engineering solutions.
  • Pastoral Care and Line Management of other engineers, including development of staff and performance management.
  • ICE Supervising Civil Engineer or other professional institution mentor status.
  • Preparation of bids and winning work.
  • Responsibility for budget and schedule for engineering tasks.

Qualifications: * Relevant degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline * Chartered Engineer or working towards chartership * Demonstrable record of delivering technically challenging projects * Experience in safety case production and hazard analysis * English fluent - written & verbal
