Job description

We are seeking an experienced person with a background in Communications/PR to manage the stakeholder engagement for our Oil & Gas Operator client based in Aberdeen. The project centres around the electrification of a major field NW of Shetland, therefore a good understanding of the Shetlands community is highly advantageous.

This is a 12 month contract based in Aberdeen.

* The Stakeholder Lead reports to electrification manager
* The Stakeholder Lead will provide input to the selection for electric onshore substation and power cable landfall
* Shall have detail knowledge of key stakeholders and community expectations on Shetland
* Shall ensure constructive and positive engagement with Shetland Island council, other stakeholders such as local fisheries organizations, landowners and local communities
* Shall coordinate with work done through the West of Shetland electrification operator work group where 3 companies are participating
* Key delivery in 2022 shall be an understanding of the stakeholder issues for the different cable landfall options and screening down to preferably 1 but possibly 2 landfall and substation sites for electrification in 4Q 2022
* Drive the stakeholder engagement and ensure local opinions are heard during the maturing of the onshore site and landfall alternatives
* Ensure we are proactively engaging with WoS electrification operator work group to ensure alignment
* Be part of a team based on trust and positive energy
