Lab Technician- Research Chemist - Spectroscopy
"The position is for a research assistant (chemist) to work in an analytical laboratory at the R&D facility Bangalore, India.

1. MSc in Chemistry Safety and Quality processes will need to be understood, followed and scrupulously adhered to.
2. Primary area of expertise will be in executing standard analytical tests and measurements in the labs
3. The role will include working with senior staff, who coach the incumbent and in addition the role mandates good team-working skills with customers.
* M.Sc. in Chemistry

"The activities of the analytical and measurement services group are:

* Understanding of the basic principles of Chemistry.
o Sample Preparation protocols
o Wet chemistry- Titrations
o Physical Testing Methods - density, viscosity, cloud/pour/freeze points
o Spectroscopy - routine FTIR and UV-vis analysis
o Elemental Methods - CHN analysis, XRF methods etc

* Communication skills: to communicate with both chemists, chemical engineers and physicists.
""* The incumbent will be working with the customer to ensure tests are completed in a timely fashion and quality criteria are met.

Three to Five years experience in a research laboratory environment with hands-on experience in elemental analysis, Titrations, spectroscopy etc.
