JOB PURPOSE

  • Work with the broader field of electrical engineering, in order to design and develop solar systems that turn solar energy into electricity.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Responsible for preparing technical drawings and outlining specifications of electrical systems and making sure that the designs and installations meet the client's requirements and all the relevant safety regulations.
    • Responsible for planning, executing and documenting projects they are currently engaged in.
    • Responsible for collecting, analyzing and arranging data in the proper format.
    • Understand the specifications for equipment and materials needed for the project, and determine the requirements and specifications for purchase.
    • Be able to communicate effectively and professionally with customers and support the sales team with their sales efforts.
    • Works well under deadline pressure, multi-tasker, problem solver.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (preferred)
    • 2+ years of previous experience in solar or renewable energy industry (preferred)
    • Have industry knowledge; or attend solar training classes
    • NABCEP Certification (not required)
    • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
    • Must be self-motivated, result oriented, and innovative
    • Must be willing and able to work in a team and independently
