Skilled Fitter

Location - Renfrew

Contract - 3 months fixed term contract with possible extension

Pay rate of £14.55 per hour + holiday pay and overtime at £19.40 per hour & £24.25 per hour

Experienced and skilled Fitter required for contract role based in Renfrew.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Recognised Engineering apprenticeship
  • Engineering Drawing interpretation ability
  • Previous experience of precision manufacturing & assembly
  • Good communication skills
  • Flexibility

Desirable Skills

  • Lean Manufacturing Skills
  • Lifting & Slinging and forklift certification

Main purpose of job

  • Assembly components with company product range
  • To work within a multi-disciplined team, producing quality products to time scales as directed.

Accountabilities

  • Assemble components to required quality and technical standards.
  • Adhere to relevant instructions contained within WSI's on the assembly of components to ensure that each is built to specific standards.
  • Conform to all aspects of companies Quality Management System including the fulfilment of all relevant procedures, to ensure conformance to international standards.
  • Deliver quality components in a timely manner whilst contributing to efficient and effective manufacturing principles to ensure compliance with cost predictions.
  • Provide training support for Apprentices and work colleagues to improve shop floor skills
  • Interact and respond to all aspects of CBS supporting cost reduction, efficiency, delivery and quality
  • Ensure adherence to Health & Safety standards in compliance with Company policy to ensure safe working environments
