Job description

We have another fantastic opportunity for someone to join this Mega Project for an experienced Site Commissioning (CSU) Engineer Supervisor on a contract basis over the next 6-12 months. The position will be based on-site in the Central West of British Columbia, Canada. This is an exciting time to be part of this project which is currently under construction and enters into' it's pre-commissioning phase of the project.

As part of the Commissioning team, the Site CSU Engineer Supervisor part of your involvement to the project while reporting to the CSU Lead will include but not limited to:

  • Conduct inspection and verification tasks on Commissioning tasks conducted by (sub)contractor like pipe cleaning, solo runs and loop testing.
  • Support the team by coordinating and providing construction (e.g., vessel internals outfitting) and pre-commissioning (e.g., cleanliness verification) assurance connected to selected A, B and C check sheets.
  • Lead by example by demonstrating excellent HSSE compliance behaviours and ensure MOC process is followed in case of an exception or deviation.
  • Conduct field surveillance and Safety/Commissioning walkdowns.

To be successful for the role, you must:

  • Be legally able to work in Canada.
  • Have At least 5+ years' experience in Commissioning phase of a mega-project.
  • Have Commissioning experience in a module fabrication yard or exposure to construction assurance will be an added advantage.
  • Have Previous experience in a similar role, especially in LNG or large-scale refinery/manufacturing complex will be advantageous.
  • Have an excellent understanding of reading P&ID's, Isometrics, and other technical drawings.
  • Have very good English language skills, verbal and reading.
  • Have excellent communication skills, to enable the development of productive and lasting relations.
  • Have a proven ability to keep calm under pressure, with an attitude for troubleshooting issues.
  • Hold a valid Canadian driver's License.
