Job description

Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Shutdown Planner, based in Aberdeen.

Responsibilities:
* Creating and managing a detailed shutdown plan and schedule from worklist, identifying critical path activities and manpower requirements.
* Early identification of schedule risk and collaborating with plan stakeholders to mitigate identified risks.
* In conjunction with the onshore and offshore asset teams, ensure that key pre and post shutdown activities are correctly reflected in the asset plans.
* Ensuring work packs / scopes of work and materials are suitably challenged and accurately captured in the shutdown plan.
* Identifying improvements to the shutdown and planning process.
* Co-ordinating with plan stakeholders to identify support requirements for optimised planning of activities and execution of associated work scopes.
* Chairing planning meetings to discuss current and upcoming shutdown activities, discussing planning issues and updating the shutdown plan accordingly.

Experience & Qualifications:
* Demonstrable experience in project management or planning/scheduling, preferably having previously worked within the Oil & Gas operational environment/FPSO's.
* Qualified to BEng or HND/HNC level in Relevant Engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
* Extensive knowledge of planning software and direct experience of Maximo preferred.
* Able to build strong working relationships both within the company and externally.
* Ability to adapt to and deal with change while delivering to fixed deadlines.
