This leading consultancy requires an SHQE Manager to work on rail related projects. Duties will include undertaking a range of projects, programmes and work assignments in the areas of health, safety, environment, risk management, and security assessment on time cost and quality, and in line with legislation and professional practice. Accountable for specific aspects of HSE expertise or specialism in the areas of health, safety, environment, risk management, and security assessment to meet customer specification, on time cost and quality, and in line with professional practice. You will manage or lead work groups or project teams, or to work as a member of a team, delivering HSE projects and work assignments across the business, that meet time, cost and delivery specification targets. To provide competent advice on HSE matters, including legal compliance and good practice to staff, managers and other stakeholders across the group; interpreting business requirements within existing policy frameworks and making recommendations for remedial and preventative actions.To work with internal customers to assist in the efficient and effective delivery of defined HSE processes, procedures, standards and systems, including support on risk assessment, safety improvement planning and training. Build and lead monitoring and assurance activities of service deliverers, including inspections, investigations, surveys and Safety Management System audits; making recommendations for remedial and preventative actions and highlight areas of improvement within the overall HSE strategy. Take the HSE lead at relevant safety and other stakeholder meetings, providing reports to and from these meetings and maintaining relationships with stakeholders to ensure common understanding and approaches across the business. Develop, deliver and monitor business continuity and resilience and security policies and procedures to ensure operations are maintained and losses mitigated in the event of business disruptions.
You will be Degree or equivalent qualification (and/or NEBOSH or other relevant professional qualifications), have sound and current knowledge of the relevant legislation,standards and procedures for the sector/role. In depth Knowledge of HSE specific disciplines (auditing, enterprise risk management, business continuity and resilience, security, human factors) and knowledge of core MS office IT packages.
