Our client is currently recruiting for the position of SHE Advisor - Marine & Subsea based in Aberdeen.

Responsibilities include:
Audits, SHE Performance Reviews, etc
Supporting Project Leadership and Contractors in aligning SHE expectations and Key Performance Indicators
Coordinating the application(s) for environmental permits and consents, and marine authorisations
Attending/facilitating HIRAs and other operational/project Risk Assessments and management meetings
Ensuring the adequacy of Emergency Response arrangements, and that suitable Bridging Documents, Project
Interface & SIMOP's documents are delivered and communicated
Responsible for the preparation, co-ordination, and delivery of Project SHE Plans, and assisting Subsea and
Operations Teams in monitoring and reporting SHE performance on projects
Leading Marine and Subsea incident investigations
Conducting SHE Inspections, Audits and support visits to operational sites, providing focussed support,
awareness raising, audits and gap analyses, Safe System of Work reviews, etc
Liaising with key Contractors to ensure SHE aspects of contractor performance are monitored and managed
Monitoring SHE performance on projects
Providing specialist ER support and participation in planning, coordinating, maintaining, and updating the
Emergency Response Plans including both internal and external event responses
Acting as focal point, representing the company and providing specialist advice on specific topics and agreed with Line Manager

Qualifications & Experience:
Strong team player but able to work as an individual
Capable of establishing SHE objectives that realistically reflect potential capability
A broad knowledge of the principle health, safety and environmental legislative requirements
Able to manage and record SHE deliverables with a high level of accuracy
Strong customer focus
Proven ability to communicate well with operational and supervisory personnel
Problem solving capabilities
Ability to identify and implement improvements.
Experience of Incident Tracking databases and incident investigation skills
Experience of participation in Emergency Response Team
Background in Health & Safety support to offshore Oil & Gas industry (operators, service companies and consultancies
Good understanding of SHE management systems, safety observation schemes and behavioural modification systems
Formal Health and Safety Qualification
