Our client is currently recruiting for the position of SHE Adviser, based Offshore

Responsibilities will include:
Monitor the Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) performance of site operations and provide advice on SHE issues to all levels of personnel in order to ensure working practices, procedures and systems meet statutory requirements, industry and company standards.
Organise and conduct monitoring programmes to assess and report on the status of platform welfare issues
Motivate Line Supervisors to hold SHE in the highest priority
Provide training and impetus in order to advance and promote safety culture within line operations
Proactively carry out the activities of the job
Be responsible for meeting agreed objectives
Adapt to changes in work practices and job activities
Act in the best interest of the company at all times
Seek out learning opportunities and transfer new skills and knowledge to the job
Adhere to the values and principles of the Company Code of Conduct at all times
Willingly and openly share good practice

Qualifications & Experience
Extensive experience of SHE and operations in the petrochemical industry.
A working knowledge of safety legislation relevant to North Sea Installations, safe working practices, fire fighting systems and techniques and emergency response management.
A professional safety qualification, e.g. British Safety Council Diploma in Safety Management, ROSPA Safety Inspector or NEBOSH Diploma in Safety Management.
Leadership, supervisor and training skills.
A good understanding of environmental requirements relevant to the North Sea Oil and Gas Industry offshore installations.
A good understanding of offshore production and maintenance operations, drilling operations, diving, helicopter and supply vessel operations, and the handling of explosives and hazardous chemicals.
Expert knowledge of legislation and systems for dealing with radioactive substances including LSA scale, radiography sources and down hole logging tool sources.
Competence in the techniques of safety auditing, accident investigation and reporting.
Good experience in the use of Word, Excel, Powerpoint and the management of digital photographs.
The ability to create and make presentations.
