Our client is an engineering company based in Central Scotland who service the Marine/Shipbuilding industry
and are currently seeking an Electrical Service Technician.

You will carry out a range of electrical/control tasks from installation and commissioning to in-service technical support and fault finding for all manufactured equipment. Operating worldwide, the Service Technician must be capable of working in a pressured environment, travelling frequently.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working on surface ship and submarine systems, or electrical /control(PLC) within a marine environment. You will have a multi-skilled approach to electrical/ mechanical engineering and the ability to read both electrical and mechanical drawings. You should also have knowledge of programming and commissioning as well as electric motors, starters and variable speed drives. Knowledge and previous experience of working on lift systems and hydraulic systems would be desirable.

Candidates will have a BSc or BEng in Electrical Engineering or relevant apprenticeship with qualification (HNC, City & Guilds, Scotvec, etc). 17th edition certification on IEE wiring regulations is desirable. The successful candidate will be required to satisfy MOD clearance requirements.
