Job description
Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Senior Tree and Wellhead Engineer, based in Aberdeen.
Responsibilities:
Defines wellhead and tree system requirements, in conjunction with Asset and Project teams as necessary.
Maintains an inventory of wellhead and tree equipment and ensures that all testing and equipment preparation is done in a timely manner.
Reviews wellhead and tree designs and ensures technical integrity of the equipment, in full compliance with corporate policies, standards, procedures and guidelines and relevant regulatory requirements.
Provides input to work programmes and ensures they are executed safely and efficiently.
Works at the wellsite as necessary to supervise the preparation, installation or removal of the equipment.
Demonstrates a challenging and innovative approach, to ensure cost effective, safe and environmentally acceptable engineering solutions. Keeps abreast of new and emerging technologies in support of the company's objective to be an industry leader and drives their implementation.
Applies appropriate techniques and processes to drive performance through benchmarking and data analysis.
Ensures appropriate peer reviews and/or risk assessments are held for each well project with actions closed out accordingly.
Interfaces effectively with other teams e.g. projects, assets and supply chain to safely and successfully deliver the project.
Contributes to the AFE preparation and submission process e.g. prepares appropriate cost/time estimates. Ensures project expenditures are effectively monitored, managed and controlled.
Supports the tender process in relation to wellhead and tree equipment. Acts as Technical Sponsor for certain contracts. Oversees the testing and acceptance of the equipment.
Supports the contractor management process by developing highly positive relationships with contractors and ensuring delivery against KPIs/scorecards.
Responsible for the capture and close out of relevant lessons learned and analysis of NPT events.
Participates in the Wells' duty rota and provides support to the Incident Management Team (IMT) in the event of a relevant incident.
Provides input and support riser analysis
Provides input and supports P and A work
Provides input and supports projects DSV and intervention workscopes on subsea wells.
Provides input and supports Rig based ROV workscopes
Provides and input and supports platform/rig interfacing
Requirements:
Degree in an engineering, technology or science discipline
Considerable experience in an OEM engineering role.
Proven background working with jack-up rigs for wellhead and tree installation activities including subsea equipment.
Strong technical background and thorough working knowledge of intervention & workover systems, Tree on Mudline, conventional and horizontal tree systems.
Offshore medical, survival and MIST certification
