Job Duties:

  • Supporting SHE Director to normalize approach to project delivery across geotechnical, remediation, hydrogeology, ecology and archaeology disciplines in particular
  • Provide SHE support to designated construction projects to ensure compliance with AECOM and legal requirements including CDM compliance, Safety in Design, SHE Plans, supply chain management, CPP, PCI, RAMS, and ensuring fulfilment of requirements in role as Principal Contractor or Principal Designer.
  • Provide advice, support and training on compliance with relevant (legal and company) SH&E requirements at all stages of a project.
  • Promote and act as role model in the development of a culture where all individuals and teams provide positive input into SH&E management in their workplace.
  • Provide SHE key performance indicator data for assigned projects through specialist metrics within the Environment and Ground Engineering area of business.
  • Report using (SHEQ Improvement Database, Industry Safe and Lifeguard) and investigate SHE incidents to ensure root causes are identified, and corrective actions are agreed and implemented to control risks and improve standards.
  • Provide and analyse SH&E incident data and information (including alerts and lessons learnt), using company systems (SHEQ Improvement Database, Industry Safe and Lifeguard) to ensure continuous improvement and development of best practice.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Working at a suitable level with within safety for a main contractor / consultant
  • Self-starter and driven individual, someone who motivates themselves and do so for others.
  • Pro-active and committed
  • Commercial acumen and project management skills
  • NEBOSH construction certificate minimum, plus occupational relevant qualifications
  • Experience working with health and saftey within the Gi and Remediation Industry for a principal tier 1 contractor
  • CDM experieince within environmental services
