Job Description

  • Produce deliverables under the direction/supervision of a Lead/Principal Engineer.
  • Perform Technical Safety Studies and Assessments, such as Hazard Identification, Hazard and Risk Assessments
  • Develop Safety Engineering deliverables such as firewater system design, hazardous area classification
  • Assist in the execution of multi-disciplinary Projects and Field Development Studies
  • Assist with preparation and checking of Safety Engineering deliverables
  • Assist with Engineering Studies
  • Consequence modelling using industry standard software e.g. DNV PHAST
  • Performing hazard and risk assessments, both Qualitative and Quantitative
  • Production of safety engineering documents (e.g. Hazardous Area Classification, Firewater demand calculations).
  • Production of technical notes for reporting of study results.
  • Assist with estimation of equipment and facilities capital cost estimates

Personal Specification

  • The job holder must Have a relevant Engineering degree or equivalent
  • 4 to 8 years relevant Technical Safety experience in Oil and Gas industry sector
  • Good communicator and strong team player
  • Good computer literacy with competence in MS office software.
  • Experience using Consequence Modelling Software e.g DNV PHAST
  • Full command of English language written and spoken
