Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Senior Quality Advisor, based in Aberdeen

Responsibilities Include:
Development, implementation, review, approval and maintenance of the Quality Management system and other related documentation.
Effectively using and maintaining the company systems for Quality Management, Non-Conformance, Improvement and Action tracking.
Ensure UK Quality standards are aligned with industry best practice and corporate requirements.
Ensure compliance of the management system with current and new legislation/standards.
Responsible for identifying the need for, and carrying out Performance Standard measurements on Quality.
Review, advise, audit and report on Quality performance across the business taking a risk based approach to determining focus areas and improvement actions.
Providing advice and support in standard setting and evaluation of supplied materials / services.
Ensure the SAP QM Module is effectively used to drive quality requirements of suppliers.
Develop and execute contract quality programmes in accordance with Contract and/or Projects Execution Plan arrangements.
Coordination of the internal audit programme for the UK taking a risk based approach to the evaluation of compliance with the management system as well as external audits on suppliers.
Tendering support in terms of Quality evaluation of potential suppliers when required.
Support the delivery of audits, both internally and externally on suppliers.
Responsible for promoting activities that improve Quality performance.
Advising on Quality non-conformances and improvement areas.
Ensure there has been suitable and sufficient follow up of audit findings and Quality non-conformance actions.
Assisting in the management of SAP QM Module and Synergi tools.
Promote the awareness of quality principles and concepts, promoting the review and challenge of working practices and methods to enhance performance.
Attend project meetings as required to provide quality support and advice according to QA/QC deliverables.
Liaise with the Client Quality Representative from key service providers as appropriate.
Support and participate in local management reviews.
Provide mentoring and guidance to others in the field of Quality Management.
Review and approve product/material requisitions and validate quality control and certification requirements.
Assign and coordinate product/material inspection activities in accordance to the specifications set out in purchase orders, datasheets, drawings and client specifications/ requirements, Inspection & Test plans.
Coordinate third party vendor inspection visits, review and distribution of inspection reports.
Review and validation of quality control activities to verify product/service meets stipulated requirements.
Interface with appointed independent verification authority as required.

Requirements:
Engineering discipline (preferred)
Experience in a Quality Advisory role within the Oil and Gas sector
Experience in a Quality Advisory role within an Oil and Gas operator
Extensive knowledge of Quality Management principals.
Extensive knowledge of developing / implementing a robust and effective Quality Management system.
Extensive knowledge of advising and managing Quality within a project environment
Extensive knowledge of advising and managing Quality within the Oil and Gas industry
Extensive SAP knowledge
Supervisory experience (preferred)
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Excellent report writing skills
Use of statistics in the field of Quality Management.
Be able to demonstrate commitment to Quality and lead by example
Enthusiastic about mentoring and developing others
Analytical, Problems Solving skills and Systematic thinking
Ability to work under pressure and without supervision
