Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Senior Project Engineer (Structural Engineer), based in Aberdeen.

Responsibilities will include:
Manage the portfolio of scopes as assigned by the Project Manager ensuring safe, quality, on schedule and within budget delivery is achieved.
Review and challenge Company contractors output to ensure optimum use of methods and resources. Identify opportunities to improve contractor/supplier performance, reduce costs and improve the quality of services supplied
Prepare and effectively manage scope budgets and prepare cost & schedule estimates and reports
Provide specialist technical engineering support as required
Initiate and deliver technically sound and innovative solutions to ensure continuous improvement to deliver improved reliability and maintenance performance
Ensure Engineering Change procedures and working practices are reviewed and updated to reflect the Company business model
Ensure close out of engineering scopes is completed in a timely manner
Undertake regular offshore visits to liaise with operations personnel

Qualifications & Training
Chartered Engineer preferred, with Relevant Engineering Degree or equivalent experience
Extensive knowledge and experience in application of Offshore Engineering (including the applicable regulations, codes and standards)
Current offshore medical and survival certification (preferred)
Project management qualification preferred, e.g. PMP, APM, MEng

Experience/Knowledge/Skills
Previous experience in the project management of multidiscipline engineering scopes in the offshore oil and gas industry
Fully familiar with UK and industry regulations relating to the oil and gas industry
Knowledge of associated technical/engineering disciplines e.g. structural, process, mechanical, electrical, piping
Proven track record of identifying and developing sound and innovative technical solutions
Ability to interrogate and maintain database systems
Technical proficiency in IT programmes/systems e.g. MS Office (Outlook, Word & Excel etc.), SAP MMS, engineering software.
Good communication skills, both interpersonal and written across multiple departments
