Job description

Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Senior Project Engineer, based in Aberdeen.

Responsibilities:
* Co-ordinate a prioritisation exercise of the current engineering modifications registers such that scopes are ranked based on People, Environment, Asset/Loss and Reputation, and secure agreement of these priorities from the key stakeholders (including Operations, Offshore & HSSE).
* Determine the expected offshore resourcing required to deliver each scope (e.g., manning & duration) versus the available resource on the asset to deliver the work.
* Document the current project phase and determine the expected date for readiness of each scope for offshore construction.
* Based on the above gain agreement with the key stakeholders as to which scopes shall make up the baseline plans for engineering delivery.
* Produce the initial plan for discussion and review.
* Estimate the internal and external engineering resources required to deliver each stage of the agreed scopes to suitably resource the engineering team and secure appropriate vendor support.
* Develop and maintain cost forecasts for the planned scopes, ensuring forecast spend is fully itemised within respective OPEX/CAPEX budget submissions.
* Ensure agreement of spend above a certain threshold via Approval for Expenditure (AFE) process, with support from discipline SPAs as required.
* Develop the project management and asset planning documentation for the planned scopes (e.g., Job Initiation Forms, Statements of Requirement, Work Orders, Plan Activity Requests) with input from discipline SPAs as required.
* Coordination of progress reporting for engineered modifications, including input to monthly engineering reports, asset reports, performance reviews, operating committee meetings.
* Familiarise with the company's Policies, including the policies on HSE, Risk Management and Major Hazards.
* Familiarise with the company's Management System and its meaning for day-to-day work.
* Familiarise with the work and be aware of all associated risks for People, the Environment, Assets and Reputation (PEAR).
* Report any incident, near miss, hazards (unsafe acts/situations) and improvement suggestions.
* Know their roles and responsibilities.
* Actively participate in any job or HSEQ training or instruction by or on behalf of the company.
* Use all provided means as intended and according to their purpose.

Experience & Qualifications:
* In depth knowledge of gated engineering management processes.
* Familiarity with all phases of engineering modifications (e.g., Appraise-Select-Define-Execute- Close Out).
* Vendor management.
* Ability to develop strategy and plans in order to achieve desired actions and outcomes.
* Results-oriented, articulate and persuasive.
* Methodical and well organised.
* Able to effectively manage, co-ordinate, and integrate a number of simultaneous activities.
* Displays high standards of ethical and professional behaviour, consistent with the company's values and business conduct policies.
