Downstream Process Engineer

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Downstream Process Engineer to join a major EPCC Petrochemical project initially based in Italy for the Engineering phase then relocating to the Middle East for Execution.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of downstream processing, including unit operations, process design, and scale-up. They will also have experience in working with engineering disciplines and other project entities to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.

The Downstream Process Engineer will be responsible for the following:

• Ensuring that the EPCC activities and technical documentation relevant to the process discipline are developed during the different phases of the project in accordance with the contract requirements
• Surveying the design and process requirements of codes, specifications & standards, technical referential, Status of Requirements, contract, main local regulations, jobs/duties/scopes are satisfied by the EPCC Contractors
• Providing process expertise for the units and installations they oversee
• Ensuring that interfaces with engineering disciplines and other project entities (PMT Engineering Core Team, Interface & construction, Operation Departments, etc.) are adequately and timely addressed, with special support to the process safety discipline
• Supporting the Senior Process Engineer

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or a related field
• 10+ years of experience in downstream process engineering
• Strong understanding of unit operations, process design, and scale-up
• Experience in working with engineering disciplines and other project entities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
