Orion Group Life Sciences have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Design Process Engineer for our Pharmaceutical client based in Dublin. This is a permanent role.


Main Responsibilities of the role

  • Development of designs including cradle to grave projects entered around Pharma design and construction.
  • Management & co-ordination of process design on projects including design optimization.
  • In charge deliverables, liaising with other team leads & leading a team of process engineers.
  • Development & maintenance of project specifications, inquiry packages and P&ID drawings.
  • Design & specification of equipment & systems to current regulations and standards.
  • Vendor Management exposure i.e. can liaise with suppliers (standard & bespoke equipment).
  • Competency in URS, FRS, & P&ID development & other process drawings / documentation.
  • Helps with auditing (internal and external).
  • An overall understanding of laboratory chemistry process flows.
  • Ensures all personnel adhere to plant Health and Safety policies.

Desired Experience and Background of the successful candidate

  • Minimum B.Sc. in Science. Other qualifications desired.
  • 4-5 years exposure to Pharmaceutical process design.
  • Relevant experience must include some team leadership exposure.
  • Strong understanding of Vendor Management.
