Job description

Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Senior Process Engineer - Hub Support, based in Aberdeen.

Responsibilities:
* Supports the maintenance of the lifecycle technical integrity and operational risk management of the offshore installations (within discipline) by applying / developing appropriate engineering standards, procedures and guidance documents.
* Supports and maintains the key process safety documents including Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams, HAZOPs, Locked Valve Register, Line List etc.
* Actively supports the Operated Asset in ensuring the process plant is capable of delivering the field performance contract and developing options and prospects for increasing capacity or reducing costs and emissions.
* Provides support to other disciplines in the development and update of Safety Instrumented System assessments (SIL), Hazardous Area Classifications, Cause & Effect Diagrams and Alarm Management Philosophies, Scopes of Requirements and Engineering Modifications.
* Works within process related Performance Standards, supports their upkeep and their compliance where agreed.
* Assesses operating changes, deviations from standard and operational risk assessments, gaining approval from Technical Authorities where appropriate.
* Provides technical assurance for the company Assets with the support of more senior personnel.
* Ensures technical compliance in accordance with company Integrity Management Standards, Safety Management System and all relevant Statutory Instruments, Codes, Regulations, Practice Notes, Safety Notices and Flashes.
* Supports the upkeep of the Maintenance Strategies within discipline for the company Bratani Assets, ensuring they are technically and commercially appropriate.
* Reviews all discipline ORA's, maintenance deferrals and deviations ensuring adequate risk assessments are undertaken. Routinely review overdue items, assessing risks and facilitates interventions where required.
* Provides input to project proposals for facilities or procedural improvements and drive the delivery of allotted modifications (Single Point of Accountability), acting as operations focal point as required.
* Ensures all temporary or permanent discipline modifications are technically assessed, meet appropriate standards and are endorsed. Progresses modifications through Management of Change workflow.
* Carries out routine offshore visits, performing safety and technical site audits.

Experience & Qualifications:
* Degree or equivalent professional qualification in Chemical Engineering.
* Current Offshore Medical and Survival Certificate (Preferred)
* Chartered Engineer status with an appropriate engineering council registered body or actively working towards accreditation (Preferred)
* Sound knowledge of the functionality and operation of a typical offshore installation.
* Sound knowledge of engineering practices, codes and standards and their application to the management of lifecycle asset integrity and process safety.
* Sound knowledge of hazard identification and risk assessment techniques, management of change processes and tools.
* Understanding of key legislation and regulatory framework applicable to UKCS offshore regime with knowledge of performance standards, assurance and verification activities.
* Previous Operations Support or Engineering Design in the UKCS (Preferred)
* Knowledge of brown-field project engineering processes (modifications) (Preferred)
