Job description

Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Senior Process Engineer, based in Aberdeen.

Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage the Process Engineering Operations Support Team, providing frontline process engineering support and assurance to company's operated assets
* Provide process plant process monitoring / optimisation and identify and deliver small-scale engineering workscopes providing process safety, environmental, reliability and production enhancements
* Develop, review, and take responsibility for the accuracy of detailed calculations, process engineering datasheets and drawings to satisfy the process engineering requirements of the assets
* Provide process engineering operations interface to Capital Projects at all stages of their development
* Support internal development and continuous improvement activity as required
* Demonstrate, provide and develop appropriate technical solutions for specific process issues
* Ensure Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality procedures are followed and that a high standard of safety is achieved in all associated work
* Demonstrate appreciation of commercial and technical risks, managing these appropriately within own work and highlighting any significant issues to relevant line manager
* Seek opportunities improvement and contributes to developing solutions
* Influences and collaborates with the asset leadership teams and all other relevant stakeholders
* Remain up to date with the latest technical developments in your field of expertise
* Stand in for Process Engineering Technical Authority when required

Experience & Qualifications:
* Educated to engineering degree level or satisfactory equivalent e.g. HND/HNC plus preferable qualifications/experience and/or vocational certificates
* Extensive experience in process engineering
* Proven experience of fluid dynamics and fluid characteristics
* Knowledge and experience of thermodynamic fluid properties & phase behaviour
* Considerable knowledge and experience of separator, compressor, pump, heat exchanger, safety valve sizing
* Considerable knowledge and experience of process related issues; hydrate, wax, scale, corrosion, asphaltene, liquid management
* Considerable process modelling experience using HYSYS, Flarenet, Flaresim or other similar software
