Senior Planning Engineer

Our client are looking for a Senior Planning Engineer to assist with the implementation and oversight of the electrical installation schedule, assist with commercial and risk management functions to ensure achievement of delivery to programme.

Key Deliverables:

  • Review schedule compliance with the requirements of the project
  • Review forward plans with section teams and ensure that they can effectively manage and co-ordinate interfaces with all contractors on the project
  • Ensure the team understands the required scope of works/planning, scheduling, commercial, risk management and reporting requirements of the project
  • Forecast risks and provide advice on mitigation
  • Assist with reporting at project level on risk to schedule
  • Assist with commercial matters and risk management
  • Implement schedule management processes
  • Assist with risk workshops and maintain risk register
  • Assist with / create basis of management of risk mitigation strategies
  • Assist with provision of fully integrated monitoring and reporting system to meet the requirements of the JV and its customers

Qualifications, Experience and Training:

Qualifications/Professional Membership:

  • CSCS or CCNSG Safety Passport
  • Triple Bar - Nuclear New Build Sites (within two months of commencement in role)

Qualifications/Professional Membership (Desirable):

  • Minimum degree level qualification

Experience - (Essential)

  • Advanced P6 knowledge
  • Advanced Access & Excel capability
  • 10 years major project experience

Experience (Desirable):

  • An appreciation of NEC3 contract terms and conditions
  • Mechanical & Electrical background
  • Experience of the nuclear industry
