Job Description

  • To provide Integrated Planning and general Project Controls support to the South Lokichar Development
  • Leadership role that has a wider remit of working with the members of Kenya Integrated Delivery Team to understand the overall strategy and convert that in to an integrated project plan.
  • Develop manpower projections and productivity metrics.
  • Regularly status the plans and manpower profiles and advise the KID-T on progress, areas of concern and key issues that need resolving.
  • Integrator with ability to work with sub surface, well engineering, facility, commercial, ESIA and Enabling Functions teams to develop a plan.
  • Develop and maintain integrated schedules, S curves and KPI charts of all Project related activities
  • Prepare and maintain progress reporting of major contract packages and overall project
  • Determine planning and reporting requirements, then analyse, audit and verify contractor progress reports
  • Evaluate the impact of project change upon schedule
  • Risk analysis of schedule activity
  • Project Control support

Personal Specification

  • Degree /HND / or equivalent project controls experience
  • Experience in the upstream oil industry
  • Experience in low cost onshore developments is a key requirement
  • Pre-FID planning experience will be an advantage.
  • Knowledge on Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning activities working for both Contractor and Operator
  • Primavera P6 and MS Office
  • Risk Management and Change Management competence
  • Need to be an excellent integrator with good interpersonal skill sets
  • Excellent presentation and report writing skills
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team
  • Willing to contribute to the development of other planners in the team
  • Ability to work based on own initiative
  • Takes a proactive approach
  • Ability to take responsibility and manage tasks through to completion
  • React quickly and be flexible with changing circumstances
  • Use initiative to ensure issues are overcome
  • Seek ways to find and apply best practice
