Our client, an operator based in Aberdeen is seeking a Senior Planner on a staff role basis. They are ideally looking to speak to candidates that have extensive Project Planning experience and expertise


Developing / Constructing and Maintaining all planning documentation for the associated function

Liaising and coordinating across Key Stakeholders and Contractors in connection with planning the delivery of projects.

Mentoring and development of personnel to perform the Asset Planning Function.

Structuring and maintaining an integrated plan for Operations, Well planning, Government Permits, Environmental Studies, Commercial Tenders, Planning data requirements and deadlines.

Act as DOA for Planning Manager where required

Experience & Qualifications:

Qualified to Degree level or equivalent, you will have a track record of leading the critical planning activities from front end delivery through Projects and Operational delivery. We are particularly interested in you if you have the following skills and knowledge:

Extensive planning experience in the upstream oil and gas industry, onshore and offshore

Detailed working knowledge and proven abilities in developing, implementing and maintaining integrated Project Plans within Primavera

Experience in well planning, drilling, exploration and logistics

Conversant with all the key facets of a typical project

Preparation of Level 3 plans as per the WBS

Extracting the planning information on durations, linkage and precursor activities

Carryout critical path analysis and develop milestone tracking systems

Planning updates and management templates to measure, monitor and report progress

Planning scenarios for options under consideration

Detailed experience and knowledge of Governance Gate Deliverables / Timelines and Inter-dependencies
