PMC Senior Installation/Naval Engineer (Part-time)

Job Objectives

Basic Design and FEED document review, supervision and support during the EPC/EPIC tendering stage for on and offshore facilities of a Brown & Greenfield gas field development.

Main Responsibilities & Key Activities

* Reviewing/approving naval engineering and installation design documents and drawings including philosophy, criteria, specifications, study, calculation, reports, etc. (Marine Operations Procedure, Naval Analysis, design brief,…)

* Interact with all other specialist disciplines as required.

* Ensuring overall design integrity and compliance with international standards, company guidelines and engineering best practices for naval/installation design.

* Ensuring that naval/installation meet project objectives, industry standards and best practice for safety, reliability and cost.

* Diagnosing design problems and reporting to the lead engineer.

* Resolving ongoing technical issues concerning all aspects of transportation and installation design.

* Ensuring the application of correct international standards, and codes in project deliverables.

* Ensuring health and safety codes are obeyed in the design.

* Actively participated during preparing invitation to tender (ITT) technical documents for naval/installation design.

* Review and approval of final ITTs for EPC/EPIC for issues that are related to naval/installation design.

* Actively participated during bid technical review for naval/installation design.

* Review and recommend approval/rejection of any requests for variation or claims submitted by contractors.
