Currently seeking a Senior Financial Accountant for an international market leader based near Reading. The role is a permanent opportunity.

The Senior Financial Accountant will support the international finance team. They are looking for a dynamic Senior Financial Accountant, with energy, exceptional problem solving skills, great work ethic and high efficiency.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the preparation of Financial Statements (Statutory Accounts) for European and Asia entities.
  • Coordinate year end external audit for numerous entities in Europe and Asia.
  • Coordinate and prepare information for SOX compliance.
  • Ensure internal controls processes are adhered to minimize risk, improve efficiency and business performance.
  • Support preparation of monthly management accounts, including recording all journal. entries for multiple international entities, quarterly corporate schedules.
  • Support preparation of Balance Sheet reconciliations.
  • Preparation of VAT returns.
  • EC Sales, Intrastat, Corporation Tax for multiple entities.
  • Review of accruals and prepayments.
  • Company credit cards administration (Procurement and T&E cards).
  • Liaise with US finance team as required.
  • Support the International Controller with ad-hoc projects and analysis.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • The ideal candidate will be a fully qualify accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or overseas equivalent) with a minimum of 4-years' industry experience in an international technology company ideally.
  • US GAAP, IFRS, SOX essential.
  • Knowledge of European VAT.
  • SSC experience - highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Proactive and delivery focus approach to all responsibilities.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Oracle or similar ERP is essential.
