Orion Group are looking for a Senior Finance Analyst for our multinational medical devices client based in the Cork area on an initial 12-month contract with the potential to extend.

Job Purpose:
Working in a dynamic, fast paced environment, this role is key to supporting the achievement of inventory-based targets through data management and business analytics. Key objectives for this role will be to build reporting models, manage data for reporting, identify trends, analyze and interpret data. Outcomes will include making recommendations that will drive improvements to the Global Orthopedics WW Plan organization in relation to worldwide inventory, Excess & Obsolete provisions, spend and headcount. Due to the data driven nature of consolidation, this role requires an individual who will not only report the financial figures accurately, but will use initiative to help highlight focus areas, proactively gain insights and have a desire to continually improve processes through automation and networking.


Main Responsibilities of the role:

Actuals and Forecasting - Inventory reporting, Slow Moving Reserve & Headcount costs
* Support the consolidation and reporting of Monthly & quarterly reporting of the clients inventory, Slow moving reserves (SLOB), Days of Supply (DOS) and Plan Headcount spend to key business partners, using automation tools, including BI tools to deliver strong dashboards and other visualizations to aid in business discussions
* Supporting the ongoing forecasting cycles, e.g. Business Plan, Long Term Financial Plan through engagement with key business partners, providing templates, data analysis and consolidating

Data Analytics Support
* Collating, analyzing and interpreting large volumes of data
* Creation of dashboards and other metrics required to drive key strategic initiatives
* Support other team members in implementing system related improvements

Program Support

* Provide financial support and leadership to inventory related programs and projects, with strong focus on programs driving field asset improvements.
* Support initiatives across the global PIC COE finance organization

Process improvements
* Develop, enhance and implement improvements to current processes in line with the culture of continuous improvement
* Lead and participate in process improvements, ranging from streamlining existing processes to initiatives that add value in the broader context


Desired Experience and Background of the successful candidate
Essential:
* Bachelor degree or equivalent
* 3+ years of relevant multi-national experience in a fast-paced environment
* Advanced Excel skills, analytical and problem-solving skills
* Demonstrated experience in use of Business Intelligence (Data Warehouses, Data Modelling, Data Wrangling)
* Data visualization skills - Tableau, PowerBI

Desirable:
* Qualified ACCA, ACA or CIMA accountant
* Exposure to operations through working with the business in a global supply chain environment
* Proven track record in multi-cultural business partnering
