Orion Group are looking for a Senior Engineer to be responsible for providing technical leadership across the team to deliver district heating systems design and engineering work.

The Role

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership across the team to deliver district heating systems design and engineering work in line with applicable standards and specifications.

The role includes the approval and on-going management of relevant engineering and design standards and ensuring that design work developed in house and by external contractors meet expectations. You will be responsible for the review and approval of engineering designs for new build assets; and provision of specialist engineering support and advice to asset operators and project teams.

Your Skills and Experience

You must be a Chartered Engineer and member of Engineering Council. You will be able to demonstrate extensive knowledge of district heating engineering, including a fundamental understanding of thermodynamics. You must be able to define and manage all relevant engineering and design standards, while ensuring that design work developed in house and by external contractors comply with industry good practice
