The Senior Electronics Engineer will be responsible for developing the embedded electronics in Automotive systems. Act as the electronics expert. Act as functional safety lead.

Assist in the electrical integration of electronic oil pumps, oil level and quality sensors, bespoke processing boards, controllers and control software into a production vehicle.

Preparation of vehicle electrical / electronic circuit schematics.

Contribute to the design and manufacture of system wiring harnesses, sensors and circuit boards.

Specify and select electrical components including sensors, connectors and controllers

Comply with and help define the electronic APQP and PPAP requirements for the system.

Take part in detailed technical design reviews of designs and code by other team members or external consultants.

Integrate embedded systems components into existing vehicle systems.

BOM preparation and coordination with manufacturers and suppliers.

Manage and deliver successful system testing activities to meet quality and standards

Experienced working with electronics CAD software.

Multi-layer PCB layout of high density PCBs with fine pitch components.

Designing electronics from concept through to manufacturing.

Good experience in designing both digital and analogue circuits for automotive applications.

Experienced in working with a range of microcontrollers and their peripherals in embedded systems applications. From 8-bit to 32-bit microcontrollers.

Communications technologies such as CAN, RS232 / UART, USB, LIN.

Experience of working with various types of sensors and designing circuits in order to interface with them.

Appreciation of EMC issues and ability to design circuits and layout PCBs with consideration for EMC & EMI.
