Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Senior Development Lead, based in Westhill Aberdeenshire.

Responsibilities will include:
Identify development opportunities
Gather relevant data and prepare study scopes of work
Initiate technical studies and economical evaluations
Ensure HSE issues are addressed in developments, including opportunities to avoid major risks through concept selection
Drive cost reduction in developments including the use of innovative approaches (e.g. alternative contracting models, technology)
Prepare study deliverables
Develop decommissioning plans and execute decommissioning studies or assist individual asset teams to do this
Lead technical follow-up of assets including:
Participation in JV partner forums (e.g. Technical Committee Meetings)
Review of work programmes, budgets, AFE requests, development project dossiers working closely with Commercial Lead

Qualifications & Experience
MSc/MEng/BSc (Hons)/BEng (Hons) Degree with extensive experience in oil & gas industry, plus significant experience in a Development Engineering/ Petroleum Architecture position.
Good technical skills with recognised speciality in an Engineering discipline
Experience of offshore, onshore, subsea, greenfield, brownfield, HP/HT development studies, projects, operations, economic evaluations and UK environment preferred. Good appreciation of associated subsurface and commercial skills.
Good working knowledge of UK/international legislation and other requirements relating to offshore operations
Clear understanding of applicable corporate procedures and processes
Understanding of UKCS business environment
