Job Purpose
Focal Point for all Corrosion and Materials Selection issues throughout client operations. Technical Authority for Corrosion, Painting I Coating and Materials Selection

Key Result Areas (Key Accountabilities)
* Directly promote sound Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) management in
all activities associated with this role.
* Act as the Technical Authority (TA) for Corrosion and Materials Engineering.
* Implement Corrosion Management System (CMS) and strategies in compliance
to the Company's Asset Integrity Management System and strategies. Lead
development of the CMS and strategy. Identify, develop and publish integrity
metrics to drive continuous improvement, and develop comprehensive
corrosion monitoring reports and trends.
* Responsible for corrosion monitoring activities and analysis of the results.
* Liaise with internal staff and contract personnel to ensure corrosion and erosion monitoring probe and coupon systems are relevant for continued integrity performance.
* Support the development of corrosion control practices and remedial work
programmes to address problems with the integrity of the offshore platform
topsides facilities, structures, pipelines, and wells.
* Study corrosion issues across the facilities and provide expert advice and
recommendations to address the different corrosion threats. Ensure that any
actions arising from the corrosion monitoring process are fed into the relevant
inspection databases and work processes.
* Undertake and/or review facilities risk assessments and develop corrosion
monitoring data gathering and analysis programmes; evaluate flaws reported;
review data sources from internal and external groups to ensure consistency
and quality all to ensure topsides pipework, vessels and structures are properly
managed within the context of the Asset Integrity Management System.
* Support with specialist corrosion input the Anomaly and Mechanical Corrosion
Damage Report (MCDR) assessment and ranking processes for the offshore
topsides facilities. Lead and provide expert opinion in root cause analysis of
failures related to corrosion and materials selection.
* Work with other members of the Integrity Team to ensure Topsides facilities,
pipelines, structures, and wells are properly inspected and maintained. Provide
input to all Asset integrity disciplines to ensure that conditions of all assets are
periodically updated and risk ranked.
* Support the Chemicals Management Team (CMT) and provide subject matter
expert input in areas related to Corrosion inhibitors and related chemicals
selection, optimisation, and trouble shooting. Liaise with chemicals vendor,
CMT and Production group staff - both operations and wells - to ensure
chemical use and analysis is relevant for continued integrity performance.
* Ensure that data gathered from chemical and corrosion coupon programme
matched Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) data so that future Risk-Based
Inspection (RBI) work is optimised.
* Support Operations and Projects with material selection for replacement,
modifications, or new works on the facilities.
* Act as focal point for corrosion management expertise and ensure that relevant

reports and data are available from the Integrity Group for the benefit of the
wider organization.
* Review the Cathodic protection reports across all assets and advise on retrofits / new design for pipelines, structures and pressure vessels. Work on Cathodic protection software as required.
* Participate in external activities to ensure current developments in corrosion
management techniques and practices are being applied, as appropriate to our facilities, in accordance with "good oilfield practice".

Corrosion Monitoring, Asset Integrity, Inspection, and Engineering Contractors and Consultants.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Job Related Competencies

Educational Qualifications:
* Degree in relevant Engineering Discipline, preferably Corrosion or Metallurgy.

Experience Profile:
* Ideally with more than15 years of relevant experience in offshore oil and gas
industry including direct experience in corrosion management practices;
however, candidates with12+ years will be considered if they show an
excellent track record in the requirement mentioned herewith.
* Experience in regulated environments - such as the North Sea, United Kingdom Continental Shelf (UKCS), Norwegian Sector and Australia- would be considered an added advantage.

Competencies/Skills/Others:
* Computer literate with proficiency in technical report writing, presentations, and
office software applications. Experience with using corrosion modeling software like Electronic Corrosion Engineer (ECE), HydroCorr, etc.
* Analytical and Logical thinker. Capable of utilizing and organizing limited and
scattered information to make rational conclusions and decisions.
* Capable of conducting own research and can come up with solutions to
technical challenges based on published industry papers and reports. A candidate who published their own technical works and presented research will be considered at an advantage.
* Very good English communication skills; very good at reporting and presenting
(verbal and written).
* Excellent in using MS Office Applications especially EXCEL
