Job description

Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Senior Contracts Manager, based in either Aberdeen or London.

Responsibilities:
* Careful development and management of the commercial relationships with key suppliers
* Contributing to development of a commercial and procurement strategy for the pipeline of projects
* Developing contract documentation for specific packages of work, including major construction contracts
* Preparing and managing tender processes
* Leading tender evaluation and making selection recommendations
* Negotiation of contracts through to contract signature
* Commercial management of contracts after signature through to completion of the related works
* Effective claims and variations management to minimise cost overruns and ensure contractors comply with contract requirements
* Reporting to and advising senior management on contract issues arising
* Supporting the Capex and Opex estimation for the project
* Supporting preparation of competitive bids for state financial support
* Liaison and close collaboration with wider teams
* Potential line management responsibility for junior members of the team if and when recruited.
* Main supplier contracts for the project, including pre-FID agreements required with key suppliers and service and maintenance contractors
* Agreements required for cable crossing and proximity agreements,
* Service and development agreements
* Landowner and asset owner agreements

Experience & Qualifications:
* Knowledge of EPCI forms of contract
* Leading all commercial aspects in the tendering and contracting phase
* Strong commercial contract and negotiation skills,
* Be results-oriented, able to meet tight deadlines and produce concise information for senior management
* Excellent organisation skills with the ability to manage own workload, meet timescales and coordinate a number of external and internal stakeholders,
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to enable effective discussion and transfer of information between contractors, team members and other stakeholders
* Diligent and detail-focused
* Excellent knowledge of English (written and spoken)
* Ability to work as a member of a large, multidisciplinary and international team
* Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
