Our Client

Our client, a leading utilities business based South of Edinburgh is currently seeking a Senior Compliance Analyst/Manager. This is a newly created role within the team, reflecting the continued growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • To work closely with the internal legal, regulation and operations departments to build upon and develop a regulatory and operational compliance programme.
  • Ensure each department complies with regulatory and legal requirements
  • Develop and implement appropriate systems and controls providing advice across the business on current and new regulatory requirements

Skills, Experience & Qualities

The ideal candidate for this role will be a proactive compliance professional. You will have the ability to provide essential regulatory and operational compliance support and implement practical solutions as the business grows.

Essential skills and experience include:

  • Degree qualified with compliance experience in a heavily regulated environment
  • Sound experience of undertaking compliance audits and tracking actions
  • You will be analytical, pragmatic and have excellent people skills, willing to "roll up your sleeves"
  • You will easily absorb and interpret detailed regulation and relay key points in simple, plain language
  • Experience within the energy, consumer protection or telecoms industry would be desirable
