Senior Completions Engineer

* Responsible for performing Completion Engineering studies to ensure optimum Sandface and completions designs are designed.

* Managing external studies to deliver optimal completion performance

* Responsible for completion/testing engineering support for Chad operations

* Ensures HSE requirements are integral to all aspects of completion, testing and well intervention activities.

* Contribute to delivering operational HSE performance.

* Review and provide feedback on operational programmes which account for and dictate best HSE practise.

* Ensures that all completion activities comply with company standards and governmental regulations.

* Provides completions input to team and well engineering delivery objectives as necessary.

* Provide input into the specification of completion, well testing and well intervention related equipment and services in accordance with company procedures.

* Ensures that all work within the area of responsibility is adequately documented and lessons learned are captured for the benefit of future Glencore operations worldwide.

* Ensure well material and service providers comply with specified quality assurance requirements.

* Liaise with sub-surface personnel to ensure reservoir requirements are delivered.

* Build effective relationships and interact professionally with internal/external stakeholders and service companies.


 A University degree in an engineering discipline, preferably in mechanical or petroleum engineering.

 Fluent in English both written and spoken.

 Interpersonal skills necessary to establish good working relationships with team.

 Proficiency with IT and industry software including

 WellCat or other Tubing Movement Modelling

 Prosper or other Nodal Analysis Software

 Drill String Design with emphasis on Torque / Drag Modelling

 MS Suite

 Extensive experience as a completions engineer with operating companies.

 Knowledge and experience in design and running of Fraccing Operations, well testing, sand control, artificial lift and surface tree systems.

 Work experience in remote locations and knowledge of work environments in West Africa.
