Currently seeking a Senior Commercial Adviser for an international energy supplier based in the Uxbridge.

Purpose of the role is to provide commercial services to the operated and non-operated assets. You will be part of the Area Development Team for the assigned assets. Taking ownership and supervision of all Commercial responsibilities during the asset lifespan. Ability to apply and negotiate commercial agreements.

Responsibilities

  • Ownership of commercial agreements
  • Manages awareness of capacity capabilities and risks
  • Liaises with various teams regarding upside and downside range
  • Reviews the allocation of production
  • Manages the implantation of the reallocation process
  • Act as commercial interface with various departments and contacts
  • Analysis of commercial risks and opportunities
  • Annual reconciliations, economic analysis/cash flow calculations and unit conversions
  • Evaluation of contractual terms, marketability and product pricing assessments
  • Capture and liaise with company updates and changes relating to commercial issues
  • Represents the company at external meetings relating to commercial issues
  • Builds and maintains exceptional working relationships

Qualifications

  • Degree in appropriate subjects - preferably for numerate disciplines (Engineering, Economics and Finance )
  • MBA desirable

Requirements

  • Excellent communication, listening and negotiating skills
  • Highly analytical and numerate
  • Ability to challenge diplomatically with resolve on difficult company issues
  • Exceptional team player working across various teams
  • Can work under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Organised with individual drive and motivation
  • Knowledge and understanding of upstream oil and gas business functions, including exploration, subsurface, facilities, finance etc
  • Knowledge of the regulatory process and commercial law, particularly field development plan, field determination area etc
  • Knowledge of joint venture agreements, construction and tie-in agreements, transportation and processing agreements, allocation agreements, Fuel and gas import agreements, EU/ETS CO2 agreements
  • Have operated and non-operated joint venture experience
  • Understanding of the commercial aspects of product marketing, crude oil valuations and product value assessments
