My client, a large legal firm employing around 400 staff across the UK, is seeking a Senior Cashier based at their South West London Office. The company is enjoying an extended period of growth so this would be a great time to join.

You will play a key role in managing the operation of the firm's client, office bank accounts and other cashiering matters. You will be responsible for a small team and a member of the financial management team. You will work closely with the Financial Controller and ensure compliance with SRA and anti-money laundering regulations.


Key requirements are:

  • Managing the expense claim system, interest calculations on client money and all banking and disbursement transactions
  • Responsible for managing the operation of the firm's client and office bank accounts
  • Monitoring and reporting compliance with SRA Accounts Rules
  • Managing the process improvement opportunities and assist in their delivery, reconcile bank accounts, posting disbursement transactions, receipts and payments.
  • Liaising with Partners, Clients and the Financial Controller


The successful Senior Cashier will possess the following skills and experience:

  • Substantial, proven 2 years' experience of Legal cashiering
  • Experienced of cashiering within a heavily regulated organisation
  • Good knowledge of legal accounting systems (Elite Enterprise) and strong IT skills
  • Experience in working directly with partners, stakeholders and fee earners
  • Good numerical and communication skills
