Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Senior Buyer, based in Aberdeen.

Responsibilities will include:
Focal point for both internal and external stakeholders in respect of delivery schedules, certification, delivery documentation and ensuring the availability and delivery of materials in accordance with business requirements and contractual delivery schedules
Focal point for the creation of Purchase Orders. Including any related amendments where required by the business.
Issue Requests for Quotations (RFQ) for the purchase of goods and services and for the repair and overhaul of materials as directed by technical authorities.
Process Purchase Requisitions in accordance with Service Level Agreements.
Participate in sourcing activities led by the wider Procurement team.
Ensure that thresholds set out in the Procurement Handbook are adhered to.
Actively work towards value adding and cost saving targets.
Main point of contact to coordinate supplier related issues.
Monitor supplier service levels and performance.
Monthly reporting

Qualifications
Degree qualified or studying towards or have membership of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply or CILT.
Relevant experience may compensate for formal education.
Competent user of business systems, SAP, MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint

Experience
Demonstrate a good knowledge of Oil & Gas Purchasing activities, appropriate legislation, best practice and guidelines.
Excellent vendor communication skills, strong time management skills and a commitment to meeting corporate deadlines.
A strong focus on HSE, ethics and upholding Company values.
Proven ability to support stakeholders and successfully resolve issues.
Proven negotiation skills and ability to secure best value.
Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders across various locations
Strong IT Skills and detailed knowledge/experience in a variety of MS office applications and SAP.
Demonstrate good problem solving skills with a tenacity to seek improvement
