To support rig and engine testing operations throughout the build, disassembly, including problem solving & maintenance diagnostics.

Working closely with Engineering Technicians and Team Leaders to support of a variety of fuels & lubricant technical projects.

Where experience allows, contribute to test results using metrology evaluation and reporting analysis, methods.

Where experience allows, install unique rig and engine test mechanical systems. Some mechanical fabrication, support maintenance on equipment programs.

Understanding of automotive vehicle, operating systems.

Conducting rig engine tests either to standard specifications or for differentiation testing.

Take ownership of test scheduling for assigned rigs, engine tests chassis dyno programs.

Managing test bed installations and ensuring they are carried out to safety and to quality standards

Liaise with engineering technicians team leaders to ensure the agreed project work is clearly communicated to facilitate milestone delivery.

Acquisition and analysis of data

Compile end of test data reports using compliant IT systems.

NVQ L3 in engineering/science or equivalent experience.

Knowledge of the installation and operation of test engines.

Experience of engine test control systems.

Experience of data acquisition and analysis of data.

Knowledge of gasoline and diesel combustion processes.

Knowledge of diesel and gasoline fuel delivery systems and operating strategies.
