Job description
Orion Group are sourcing a Senior Accountant on behalf of our global, subsea and surface technology client, on a 6 month contract basis in Aberdeen.
Job Title: Senior Accountant (Lean Initiatives) (6-month contract)
Job Purpose
To work with OneFleet finance and identity improvement opportunities and assist with rolling these improvements out. May also be required to cover other roles in the team whilst others work on improvement initiatives.
Job Description
- Carry out workshops to review processes
- Identify with the team improvement opportunities
- Work on the improvements involving IDS where necessary and roll out of new process thereafter
- Assist Other team members to allow them time to work on improvement initiatives.
Main Accountabilities
- Carry out workshops to review processes
- Identify with the team improvement opportunities

- Preparation of Management Accounts
- Preparation of Forecasts
- Assist with reconciliations where required
- Other Ad hoc duties
Necessary Qualifications/Knowledge
- Strong accounting background demonstrating sound understanding of accounting principles
- Experience of dealing with business managers on finance issues
- Able to meet strict deadlines
- Attuned to working in a culture committed to continual improvement
- Ability to communicate with staff and management
- Professional attitude with appreciation of wider business objectives
- Good communicator
Desired Qualifications/Knowledge
- Oracle Applications or ERP experience
- Good team worker and leader. Prepared to work to deliver results
