Currently looking for a Project Manager to deliver packages from a range of depressurised and vented Containment Vessels (CVs) and process them to depressurise the inner package layers and remove PVC prior to repackaging the material into a configuration fit for long term storage in DESF.

The Project is to determine the location for handover of the de-pressurised and vented CV (including 4088 mini CVs where necessary) in agreement with Programme and in relation to other project/transfer routes in the material consolidation programme.

The Project scope considers the requirements for all project phases including but not limited to:

  • Design
  • Installation
  • Commissioning, training and testing
  • Operation & Maintenance

The Project is bounded at handover of the capability to Operations; including ensuring all configuration baseline information is up to date, all issues noted in the completion and transfer certificate have been completed and the PMP(s) have been closed out. This should include completion of inactive and active commissioning and completion of readiness reviews to ensure all functional requirements have been met.

Your role as Project Manager will be to:

  • Identifying, implementing and complying with applicable safety, environmental, and quality, company procedures, and policy, legislative and regulatory, requirements.
  • Applying an appropriate level of priority for safety and quality to ensure that & Nuclear Safety is not compromised by delivery.
  • Maintaining & effective communications and executing the project strategies within their team.
  • Prompt & identification of industrial relations and HR issues within their team.
  • Leading and & coaching their team to maximise their efficiency and effectiveness to deliver in a timely manner fit for purpose work in a safe manner to meet & or better the project baseline cost, schedule and quality requirements.
  • Maximizing their teams & Learning from Experience, disseminating and input of LFE across all project stages.
  • For timely and & accurately communicating their team related performance, issues /concerns, and risks
  • Maintaining the competency of their relevant team members by identifying and facilitating delivery of appropriate training and role assignment.

You will have;

Demonstrable experience of delivering and project initiation for IPDG on a 5m+ project producing a 5 case Business Case, PXP, Acquisition Strategy, OSP, Communication Strategy, Schedule and Estimate, Risk activities using PERTMaster and SPER.

Demonstrable experience of stakeholder engagement on high profile project which will include scrutiny from both internal in the Value Stream and external through Regulators.
