My client is a market leader in the storage and distribution of chilled and frozen food. They are looking for a Sales Exec, ideally from a similar background and industry with key responsibilities including;

  • To sell and develop storage, picking and logistics services to the wholesale, retail and foodservice sector.
  • To assist with targeting future sales opportunities and maintain and develop relationships with existing customers in conjunction with active input with the companies associated customer services departments and wider sales colleagues.
  • Arranging meetings with existing customers to prospect for new business, resolve queries and develop existing business.
  • Acting as a contact between the company and its existing and potential markets.
  • Ensure a system is in place to handle customer complaints and that effective feedback is given.
  • Aware of differential tariff rates for different services offered
  • Aware of company procedures around damaged goods and incomplete consignments
  • Ensure effective communication with Line manager and sales staff

Skills Desired:

  • Sales experience and proven track record in business development within the chilled and frozen FMCG industry
  • Excellent written and verbal communication the ability to build and develop strong working relationships with all stakeholders involved
  • Self-starter and able to work on own initiative
