Job Title: Safety Case Engineer

Location: Bristol & Plymouth

Background: This role plays a key part in the nuclear division of a global consultancy that is involved in the design of the new generation of nuclear power stations in the UK and that play an effective role on a range of projects in support of both existing and new assets in the Defence Nuclear domain.

Skills and experience: * Degree (or equivalent) in physics, mechanical engineering or closely related discipline * Chartered Engineer * Background in safety case production and hazard analysis * Ideally with experience within the nuclear and defence industry * Experience delivering cost targets without compromising quality

Main Activities will be supporting the organisation during the design, operation and decommissioning of nuclear facilities to assist the production of all nuclear safety documentation as part of the Site Licence Conditions. These documents include: * Hazard/fault identification studies e.g. HAZOP, FMEA * Qualitative and Quantitative Hazard Assessments * Radiological Hazard Assessments * Probabilistic Safety Assessments * Safety Case preparation (e.g. EC, PMP, PSR, PCSR, etc) * Support to Engineering Substantiation studies * Safety management studies * Nuclear technology technical reports * Engineering Change (EC) production (Cat 1 and Cat 2) * Fault studies * Design Authority technical reports
