Job description
Location: Westlakes / Warrington / Hybrid
Role Description
Required to undertake the following:
- Decommissioning (in phases)
- Ventilation replacement
- Switch room replacement
- Safety assessments to support the delivery of infrastructure
- Chairing HAZOP meetings for the development of safety case
- Attendance at committee meetings
- Provide high quality safety case advice and documentation
- Seeking and delivering improvements
- Maintain up to date knowledge about legislation
- Identify and participate in improvement initiatives on safety case process implementation
- Facilitate communication between relevant stakeholders
- Identify high level hazard management strategies
- Preliminary consequence assessment
- Identify and share LFE to promote best practice
Experience & Qualifications
Essential
- Degree or equivalent in relevant field
- Experience in the preparation of nuclear safety assessments for a range of facilities and hazards
- Understanding UK nuclear regulatory safety requirements
- Safety case profession SQEP3 preferred SQEP2 possible
- Degree or equivalent in relevant field
- Experience in the preparation of nuclear safety assessments for a range of facilities and hazards
- Understanding UK nuclear regulatory safety requirements
- Safety case profession SQEP3 preferred SQEP2 possible
- Other regulated industries will be considered
Desirable
- Understanding of glovebox operation
- Understanding of analytical services (B229)
- Understanding of safety assessments
- Previous experience of HAZOP char/secretary
- Previous experience of Alpha plants criticality safety
