Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Safety & Occupational Health Practitioner - Leader, based in Aberdeen

Responsibilities will include:
Provide support to all site operations including; responding on safety queries, incident investigation, analysis and reporting including review and follow-up of close-out of any actions from incidents
Prepare technical reports within area of responsibility, as required by SHE Manager
Participate in the development of NNS SHE plans and associated audit plans.
Work closely with the NNS Performance and Growth Team to organise and subsequently carry out audits as per the audit plan, ensuring reports are issued in a timely manner.
Facilitate RCA's and specific risk assessments including follow-up of agreed actions
Is a member of the NNS contract evaluation team providing SHE information for use during the tendering and contract award process. Attend contractor SHE performance meetings as required
Prepare presentation slides for occupational safety related meetings, specifically the Incident Review Meeting, Safety, Health and Environment Management Board (SHEMB), NNS Asset Performance Meeting and as requested by NNS Senior Management
Monitor the closure of NNS asset actions within the database and facilitates monthly review meetings
Review and update occupational safety and health related procedures as directed
Adhoc cover to offshore sites

Qualifications/Experience
Experienced in an operational safety and health role preferably with practical experience on an offshore or onshore high hazard site, e.g. oil and gas, chemical manufacture, etc.
Professional qualification of NEBOSH diploma or equivalent (or working towards this standard)
Incident investigation and application of RCA methodology
Audit and compliance monitoring assurance activities experience with lead auditor qualification an advantage
KPI and performance management experience
Technical authoring skills specifically writing procedures, SEMS bridging documents, incident reports, etc.
Offshore Survival Certificate plus MIST
Offshore Medical Certificate (OGUK approved)
